Transportation from Suvarnabhum International Airport

Airport Pickup Service
(details)

For your convenience, we have arranged the service of an independent operator for transportation from the airport to your hotel. This operator is not affiliated with ICONIP'09 but it has provided transportation service to various other international conferences in Bangkok in the past. We have contacted some of the references provided by this operator and we received positive feedbacks for this service.

Details for this service is shown below. For this option, someone displaying an ICONIP'09 sign will greet you after you exit at Meeting point 3. The cost ranges between 350 baht/person (group transport) to a maximum of 1,200 baht (private transport) per trip.

Information on other modes of public transportation are shown below.

Public Taxi
(http://www.suvarnabhumiairport.com/to_from_public_taxi_en.php)

- turn right after exiting and proceed to exit at Meeting point 3;
- go down one level by escalator to Level 1
- then go to the appropriate public taxi desk outside of building at either Gate 4 or 7 and inform the agent at the desk your hotel destination. There may be a line-up at this point.
- a ticket/slip will be issued and you will then be greeted by a taxi driver. Keep this slip as it contains the name of the driver in case there are problems later on.

Note that the total charges are:
"metered amount + 50bt surcharge from airport + toll charges (if applicable)". It is recommended that you paid for the toll charges so that you can get change from the toll booth as well and then just paid metered amount + 50 bt surcharge after arriving at the hotel. Tips can be as little as 20 bt or up to 10% depending on the service received. The "metered amount" should not exceed 250 bt if you travel via tollway but you need to pay the tolls. So with surcharge and toll charges, the total should be around 350 bt before tips.
